Sorry it took me so long to reply classes just started this week for me and I will definitely keep you posted. Good luck to you as well.

No problem - my first set of pre-reqs start next week, so I'm sure my time on here will be far more limited after that as well. Thanks so much - can't wait to hear how it's going.

This spring I took A&P II, Micro, Psych and Eng 2. It was hard mainly because we had Micro from HELL! LOL We had A students pulling D's.

Our Micro lab was 2 days a week (4 hrs) plus 3 hrs lecture (and buddy you better believe we were there the ENTIRE time) Then A*P was 3 hrs lecture, 3 hrs lab.

So it was just so much class time. Plus for Micro we had a TON of homework. Every week we had to do about 6 exercise reports for lab, each individually typed up, plus reading the experiments ahead of time. For lecture we had to do six abstracts (finding news articles and writing a one page abstract) plus case studies.

But I hung in there and managed to maintain my 4.0. My advice...DO ANY EXTRA CREDIT! In my Micro class we read "The Hot Zone" which I read in a day (very intersting book) and did like a 3 page book report (took about 2 hours) I got full credit and it added like 3-4 percentage points to my overall grade...a GREAT tradeoff for one days work! Made the sucky final that half the class failed much less stressful! I didn't even study, I made a low "B" on the final but pulled A out of class.

BTW..one girl in my classes took A&P II, Micro, Chem and Nutrition (which i have heard is a VERY hard class)

I have no clue how she did it...I would have had a nervous breakdown LOL. Of course she didn't have kids but she did work. Not sure how her grades came out...

I took A&P II and Micro together last semester and pulled A's in both. It was hard work. They are like taking four classes because of the labs involved. My instructor for A&P II was excellent, made the class an absolute joy and extremely relevant. Micro, on the other hand, was a challenge. She was from India and spoke with a British accent.

My advice, study every moment you can. Take your books with you everywhere...you never know when you'll have a 5 minute block to review. Make yourself flashcards and stick them in your car. Don't get behind. And, if you possibly get caught up, read ahead. You can do it. It's not impossible but it will be very challenging. :specs:

I will be taking Micro and A & P next semester myself so tell me how things turn out for you.

Has anyone ever taken these two classes in the same semester. Im doing that this semester and I was just wondering what I should be prepared for. I have one on MWF(A&P) and the other Tues and Thurs(Micro) so I hope this will help me out a bit. If you think Im insane for even attempting this please tell :chuckle and also tell me why. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
