I want to create a thread to anyone who has applied to the ADN Nursing Program for Fall 2020 at MiraCosta.
The application window is still open until the end of February and we wont find out until April, so lets share some words of encouragement and create a community.
I just turned in my application on Monday, February 10. It makes me anxious that they don't tell you your points when you submit your application...

Having been to orientation, can you tell us about the kind of class schedule and clinicals they have?
I'm looking forward to meeting all who were accepted this morning, and for those who got a no this time, like aspiringRN817 said, don't stop trying, we'll all be colleagues soon!

Whoops missed this somehow! I'm not sure what they are going to do now with this transition to online courses and the addition of simulation of labs, but if I remember correctly the first 16 weeks are
Mon 1230-430 class
Tues 9-1 class
and then the first 8 weeks are Wed & Thurs lab days
second 8 weeks your clinicals are either Wed-Thurs or Thurs-Fri the Wed or Thursday depending on which option you choose is your "search" day they call it where you get your patient info and gather your plan for your shift then next day.
Has anyone started a FB group so we can communicate easier? If not, send me your info and I can generate one. Interested to see where we end up this semester.

Thanks for the info, I hope the online plan will follow a more "traditional" online class format as opposed to Zoom meetings where you have to sign in at a particular time.
A FB group is a great idea, if you make one, post the link in this discussion for other classmates to add ?
Yes agreed. A traditional online setting would be nice. Here is a FB group link.
