So it's halfways through the first semester.

And despite the long hours in school, reading, studying, working, grinding my teeth, and spending all my earned income on Red Bull, I am surviving.

So far everyone has talked about having mini-meltdowns at least once in regards to school. I've wanted to flip tables and throw books, I've cried angry frusteration tears, but no major meltdowns yet.

I just feel like my life is a blur, but that should have been expected.

But I am still here =)

Keep on keeping on fellow students, we can do this, stay strong! Christmas will be here soon....soon.... Ok, enough of that, I'm off to drink a Red Bull and study for tomorrow's Fundamental's exam...

I am just holding on for dear life until Christmas. By my fingernails.

And, I have an assessment test tomorrow. Thanks for the study break and good luck on fundamentals. :)

I'm sitting here thinking about how tired I am, but how I shouldn't take a nap because it'll interfere with my sleep schedule. Fortunately I have my case study finished, but I should be studying for a test I have in two days. I can barely keep my eyes open though. Screw clinical days, seriously.

Oh goodness thank God for red bull and coffee with extra sugar. Without any of those I wouldn't have survived nursing school. I've had my breakdowns and whoa was I an emotional wreck. Keep pushing through, yea your holidays or mini vacas might be shot studying for the next test, but after nursing school you are free from all the college life, college tests, arguing nursing exam qs drama. Let out a cry once in awhile. Go for a run to relieve all your tension and to help release some endorphins. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, keep reminding yourself that when you're down. Good luck =D

What do you generally use for grinding your teeth? I have a Dremel, but I'm not sure which attachment is best for teeth.

More seriously, half way through my semester we've had very little drama in our program, other than our dept. head going on leave following the death of her husband. It's been busy and challenging, but pretty smooth sailing.

I'm curious as to why you think that grievance leave following the death of a loved one would be considered 'drama'. My clinical instructor's mother-in-law died in the middle of my first semester and another instructor simply took over the group until she returned from grievance leave.

I used to have braces, so when I started to grind I just pop in my old retainer. It's the only thing that keeps me from ruining my teeth. Good luck!
