Middle Georgia State University (MGA) Fall 2024

Published

Has any applied to MGU and got accepted? An ICU nurse at my job told me about the program stating she had low test scores and a 2.6 GPA and got accepted into the program. I have a 3.0 overall GPA and a 3.25GPA in my sciences. I applied to southern crescent last year(as they don't have restrictions of the age of sciences) with a HESI A2 score of 82 and didn't get in.  Some of my sciences are expired and I didn't see any restrictions on the school site about expired classes. I noticed they reopened applications to 4/30/24. I applied for the school and sent over my transcripts and rushed to take the TEAS before the deadline but made a 67 on the TEAS. BUMMER. but it's passing and above the required score so I could still apply. I wondered what other who've been accepted looked like.

@Brittany Yavonne I touch and agree with you and it is so!! Please keep me posted🙏🏾

Should you all get in, & I hope you do, I can give you access to my quizlet folder for the NURS1000 class. I have an A average so far. Grading is STRICCCTTTT. you have to have a 75% TEST average for the class to pass. It does not matter if you got straight A's on all the homework/project assignments, those grades DO NOT factor in UNLESS you have the passing testing average FIRST! Students have failed the course with a 74.9 and they DO NOT round up! Exams are spaced out pretty well. I'd start researching how to take nursing exam styled questions before starting. The question style trips a lot of people up. Many failed the first exam bc of this. STAY AHEAD OF THE CURVE if you can. If you haven't already, find a job that is flexible around your school schedule or simply work part time on weekends. They are strict on attendance. Miss 2 days and its 10 points off your final grade, so say you have a test average of 84% and missed 3 days of class, you just failed the course with a 74%. Make sure you are able to meet expectations of this program bc they do not want to hear a sob story. Get on birthcontrol NEOOWWW if you can LOL. You can 4 semesters of *** energy on the wayyyyy. LOL
