Middle Georgia Applicants Fall 2014

U.S.A. Georgia

Okay, Lets get it started! Who has applied to Middle Georgia College for Fall 2014? If you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA and Hesi scores? My GPA is 3.8 and my Hesi score was 82 over all with an 80 in Reading and an 86 in math! Does anyone know what they base their decision on? More on GPA than Hesi? The wait is going to kill me! Is anyone already in the BSN program that can tell me how it is?

They are on each campus, the ASN program is at WR so that's why they show there as well. But if you're in the BSN program you have to attend Macon Campus. As you know a lot of the classes are the same. This is what I was told by the advisor.

I have a friend in the the 2nd semester of the BSN program and she has to travel back and forth between both campuses, sometimes on the same day. For the BSN program our classes start at the 3000 level. The course schedule for Fall 2014 is showing 60 seats for the BSN Fundamental Concepts class, so it looks like we will be on Warner Robins campus at least part of the time. I live in WR so I wouldn't mind too much:cool:

I live an hour from Macon so it is going to be about an hour and a half drive for me to Warner Robins! :( Do we register for our classes or does the Nursing Dept. do that?

@Lorahump78: I'm sorry about your commute that is pretty far, for first semester they register us for classes. I believe they will tell us that at the orientation in July, and there's no need to worry about classes filling up, because they have enough classes for all the applicants they selected. I wonder how big our class will be since it seems everyone on here for the BSN program was selected?

BSN2016, I was wondering that too! There are 5 girls in my Chemistry class alone that got accepted into the BSN program for fall! I reserved my seat this morning! I'm still so excited that I made it in! Cant wait to meet everyone in Fall!:)

Does anyone still have a class to take over the summer? I have to take one of those perspective classes in area B. I just have to figure out which one I can take online, I don't want to spend my summer days in someone's classroom.

I have to take Micro over the summer, but I'm ASN.

I have an appointment Wednesday with the advisor, so I'm sure she can tell me which classes are offered online. Hopefully it's something interesting.

@lorahump78, I reserved my seat on Friday I tried to wait and play it cool but I couldn't:). I can't wait to meet everyone either. I don't gave anything to take this summer, I'm finished after this semester:whistling:

@Striving2BgreatNurse, there are six totally online Area B classes being offered this Summer. You can look them up under the course schedule for the Summer 2014 semester. Then just click the Area B tab. It looks like it's perspective on narrative or computers being offered. You might want to go ahead, and look the teachers up on rate my professor.com while you still have options and lock one in.

Hello all!

Congratulations to all of you who have received your acceptance, and good luck to those of you still impatiently waiting. I applied to the Fall BSN on 04/16/14 when the application opened up again, and I will take the HESI in a week (04/28/14 1-5:30 p.m.).

Question to whoever can/will help me: What is required to enter the testing center? I read something about a confirmation page required to sit for the exam. What is this: the receipt that shows I paid for the HESI, something I can get from evolve, or something else? Is anything allowed in the testing center (four-function calculator or all math by hand on provided paper)? Thanks in advance.

The confirmation is what they email to you from evolve. No you can not take ANYTHING in there, and if you do you must put it into one of the lockers they have available. They sent a girl out of the testing room in the middle of the test because she did not turn her phone completely off. So to be on the safe side don't take anything in there with you. Hope this helps! Good luck on the test btw!
