Thought I would start a feed for the MNU ABSN spring 2020 admission! Good luck!!!

Does anyone know of any of the holidays we may get off during the cohort?

You will have off most of the days that MNU closes, however sometimes a professor may post a PowerPoint with a voiceover to watch since you will be missing a day of class. You will have a week off for Spring break during your Mod 1. We had off the full week of Thanksgiving and a month at Christmas, I assume it will be the same for you.

Good luck to you all! I look forward to seeing you on campus soon! Be sure to reach out if you need anything. ?

Awesome thank you so much!

Hello,

For those who were accepted into the Spring 2020 cohort, has your cohort been delayed due to social distancing? Have they moved your classes to online? I've applied for the fall 2020 cohort and I'm just trying to get an idea around what the plans are. It's been tough getting emails returned lately. Thanks!

@therealmrsriley, yes, we’re online for now—probably this Module and the next—guess we’ll just have to see how this pans out. Good luck with the application process! ?

Thanks for replying! All the best to you and your classmates.

Hopefully by the time you start your program we’ll be in the clear so you can have max face-to-face instruction—but the instructors and faculty are amazing and really want us all to succeed! Hang in there and be well—and if I can answer any other questions you have, let me know—take care!

Hi! I am starting MNU's ABSN program in the fall, and I was wondering what the classes were like for previous students. Do the classes require presentations?

Also, for clinicals, are you working with a nurse, or are you on your own?

@Rose555 our cohort has been a little bit of a mess with the whole co-vid 19 going on. Our cohort does not start clinicals till the third module which starts at the end of June (and hopefully we can do clinicals at that time). I do know that each student follows a nurse around, in the hospital setting, you are not allowed to be on your own. For presentation I am not sure what you mean. Each class has a lecture period and then certain classes have a lab as well. Some of the classes have group projects that include doing a presentation.

Okay, thanks for the information! So for the group project presentations, is the whole group up in front presenting together, or are the presentations individual?

The whole group will be up there, each will have to speak for their part of the presentation. We have had around 4/5 group projects for the first two semesters

Hello all!

I was just accepted to the upcoming Fall cohort and I have a question. With everything going on with Covid, has the Spring cohort started clinicals? Are you all still doing classes remote? Thanks for your time!
