MidAmerica Nazarene Spring 2017

U.S.A. Kansas

Published

Hi everyone! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2017 cohorts and I just wanted to get to know my new classmates/study buddies (please) haha! I just found out this morning of my acceptance!

Hey Ckinzel: What about those apartments over there off Black Bob and like 120th? You know anything about how much? PubHltPeds might want to look at those.

There's also some off of College and Strangline Road, right to the east just past that intersection. But I have no idea of how much.

Yeah, I found out that I was accepted this past Friday.

That's awesome. I obtained my Bachelors Degree from MNU. Great school. However I do not know much about the nursing program as far as insider stuff.

@Warthawg, because I am a newbie I can't send pms yet. I understand about your dilemma, I was accepted to two other programs before I heard from MidAmerican and waiting on another one for next year and I made a decision to go with one of them. I found allnurses and research the school and found out that most people in the program are dissuading people from attending the school because they are so unorganized plus very expensive.

Thanks again @Warthawg & @Ckinzel for the city and apartment suggestions.

PunHltPeds: no problem. Im not sure about the disorganization. I have heard they are and they are not. Im not sure what is true and what is not. Im trying to find someone that is currently in the program but having no luck.

Oh no I meant the other school (Regis College) I was accepted to first before I found out that I was accepted to MidAmerica was quite disorganized and expensive.

PubHltPeds: I'm not sure about that. I have heard that a lot of nursing programs are unorganized, however I can not speak about MNU. I have heard from past instructors and former students both versions. I really just don't know. Hopefully someone that is currently enrolled in the program will chime in and let us know how the program is.

Hey @hopefulbsn8, did you receive a call or an email first that you were accepted? I got a call and was told that I would receive an email and a letter in the mail for the deposit a week later but I still haven't receive anything yet.

@PubHltPeds, I received a phone call, no official email. Then about two weeks later I got a letter in the mail asking for a deposit! I'm sure it's just on the way :)

@hopefulbsn8, thanks for the information.

I'm curious where you heard that the professors are great? Is that what the MNU "recruiter/admissions person" told you? What are they not telling you? Have you talked to any current students or recent past graduates? This program is $40,000! CAVEAT EMPTOR....
