Bullying/Harrassment?
The 80 hours is allowed everywhere. What I am getting at is that nothing was ever said about the .9 or only being allowed to work only 72 rather than 80. The handbook clearly states 80 hours. Why would someone leave one part of the hospital for less pay and less hours, they wouldn't. That would be stupid. That's my point is that what I'm being told is not in writing anywhere. It's like there making up things as we go. However the handbook is very clear on the hours and PTO. But the HR dept does not or is not taking the matter seriously. The manager has removed my PTO without indicating it anywhere. I know this because I have looked at pay stubs online and the section for PTO. Things are not adding up! And HR is useless.

Bullying/Harrassment?
The issue is that in the handbook it says your allowed 80 hours, and even payroll says this. However HR lady and the manager (in question) is saying that no its only 72 hours. But the weird thing is that the PTO that is being taken out is not showing up even though its being deducted. The other odd thing about this particular dept. is that there saying since was hired in as a .9, only 72 hours is allowed. But the other two nurses responsible for the bullying are at 80. No where in the handbook does it say that I'm working as a .9 and only allowed 72 hours. Wasn't given this information when hired. Complained about it and now the manager and the other two nurses are going full bore in harassment. I have documented everything, still no help

Bullying/Harrassment?
Just wandering if anyone out there has been or is currently being bullied on purpose at work? Or if you are currently in a situation that involves a Manager doing this to you, or if your manager lied to you during the hiring process and is now purposely not paying you the hours that you deserve even though the policy handbook state otherwise? And Payroll even says the manager is wrong but nothing is being done to correct it? I am also interested in knowing if you complained to HR and they did nothing about it, and or they refused to hold the individual/s accountable for the bullying and harassment? Did they ignore your grievances all together? Thanks!

Any perspective from other Military Vets
Vet mentoring program? Never heard of such a thing!

Any perspective from other Military Vets
I will second what Cys0sys said...A lot of cry babies, pissing and moaning, and politics. You will find a few squared away students, but most are grab ***, fumbling around and complaining about having to do the work. Most of them look like they just pulled themselves out of the bottom of a sea bag and then pressed there scrubs with a cold rock! Best advice, sit in the back, observe and keep quite. You will find some professors that will leave you alone while other will prey upon the kiddos in the class. Then a few that will let you know that your presence is not very welcomed. I really think it depends on the school, location and demographics. Just remember your gonna have to put the body armor on and maintain some very thick skin. Pick and choose your battles very wisely.

To transfer or not?
Just curious if there is anyone that started at a nursing program and then transferred to another program? If so what were the outcomes, was it beneficial, and did you loose any credits in doing so? I am currently in an accelerated program that has got to be the most unorganized cluster I've seen. Basically an administrative NIGHTMARE that seems to be getting worse by the day. There isn't teaching taking place rather more of lets throw some stuff out and hope it sticks to the wall. Or better yet lets spend more time talking about some ATI test than spending time in clinicals.

MidAmerica Nazarene Spring 2017
PubHltPeds: I'm not sure about that. I have heard that a lot of nursing programs are unorganized, however I can not speak about MNU. I have heard from past instructors and former students both versions. I really just don't know. Hopefully someone that is currently enrolled in the program will chime in and let us know how the program is.
