Hi everyone! I couldn't find a thread for Spring 2017 cohorts and I just wanted to get to know my new classmates/study buddies (please) haha! I just found out this morning of my acceptance!

Congrats PubHltPeds! If you find anything let me know, I'm moving from WA! The Edge apartments are about a 7min walk but won't be able to give true availability til the start of the new year

Hey Ckinzel: So whats your take on the the school course load? Too much, and are there any hidden issues? I'm asking for a reason. I am currently enrolled in an Accelerated program that is totally UNORGANIZED and a gaggle at best!

Hi! I recently heard from someone currently in the program and she said it is difficult but not unmanageable. It definitely needs to be top priority for a year. I've also heard the teachers are really helpful.

Hey Ckinzel, do you have any suggestions about apartments? I have family in Kansas City but on the Missouri side and they told me to look into areas over there but I think the distance is like 40 minutes plus. What is the difference between Olathe and Overland Park in terms of quality? I know I am asking many questions but I just want to be sure. Thanks in advance.

Olathe can be bad in some areas, mainly on the west side, meaning south/southwest 69 highway north of old 56 highway. Better to be on the far East side

PubHltPeds: Your better off living in Gardner. south of Olathe and driving 10 minutes each way. Cheaper too! And less traffic cause you can take I-35 straight up to school!

I live in Overland Park and maybe 7 minutes from MNU so I would definitely look there too. There are some newer apts near me but I have no idea about rent prices. I could find out names if you'd like.
