has anyone attended this program? i take the entrance test in april and i dont know what to expect. is it very hard? is this program any good?

Congrats Paulaf! I did the TABE yesterday & also got 12.9 on every section. So off to get my packet together! I do hope we all get in...

This website states that we're not allowed to post names of faculty members involved, therefore Paulaf, could you kindly remove the faculty member's name that you have posted. It's mainly for confidentiality and the safety of those involved.

On another note: CONGRATS Paulaf on doing so well on both exams. You're definitely going to get in =) I may be moving to brooklyn and if I get in, might be doing the brooklyn location as well. Either way, I hope we all get in!

Hi Poettree,

I don't know how to delete my previous post. I have sent an e-mail to the administrator of the website. Please explain to me how to delete the post. I did not mean to hurt or offense anybody. I apologize to all of you for my mistake.

Thanks

Oh no! you definitely did not offend anyone. I just wanted to inform my fellow prospective lpns =) As for deleting the name I'm not quite sure how to do that...I just know that in the past people would write the faculty members names in this context: "Dr. ****** said that ....."

P.S.

Keep me updated when you have handed in your applications. I am curious as to your take on the interview!

Hey all... I did my interview this week and I believe it went great! Heres hoping we all get in...

lol, congrats for getting into the program. Im in the program right now..literally in class right now at mid-manhattan. I just skimmed through your stories of months of torture...well just giving u heads up if ur gonna pick between mid manhattan or brooklyn go with mid manhattan. Both schools are unorganized and low on teachers but from talking to the students over there MM is less chaotic.

Hi Future RN Rich!

When did you get your acceptance email? The director told me I would find out in June so im anxiously awaiting and constantly checking my emails haha. Also, you must be almost done with the program. How would you describe your overall experience with the program and location? Where your clinical sites far from Mid-Manhattan?

The director told me to look out for an email towards the end of June.

Also, she signed me up for a blackboard account, just curious as to if she did that for everyone.

Hey!

The director did the same for me too. Since I was the first person to apply for the program, she told me to wait till june. The suspense is killing me!!

Please post once you have gotten an acceptance email/letter.

Good Luck to everyone! I hope we all get innnnnnnnnnn =)

To everyone who have applied and have been accepted to NYC board Ed. LPN program, i wish you the best of luck. This program really is rewardign and challenging program at the same time. I survived yeah! I remember about year or so iwas in the same position as you guys. I was waiting in suspense to see if i would be accepted or not. Now i am a LPN Grad with top Honors.:):lol2:

For those who have/will be accepted, please develop a consistent study plan because this program is not for the faint of heart. Foster a good working relationship with your classmates that share the same goals. Do not get involve in the politics of whatever issues may going on at the school, you are there for one reason to graduate and pass your NCLEX. It is important that you develop a very consistent study schedule because it is easy to get side -tracted and be left behind. It is fast paced program

The teachers are demanding in terms of their expectations, so study! read! study! read! study! read! study! and when you are done, study and read some more lol. The successful student is one that is self-directed and do not just rely on the teachers to pass a course.

I will be happy to answer any question you guys may have about he program. I wish you all good luck and best wishes. Now its on to the NCLEX for me!!

Congratulations NurseGuy1 on your successful completion of this program and thanks for all the advice and heads up info.

I haven't heard from anyone who have confirmed acceptance yet so I think we are all still waiting on tenterhooks. At what point did you get accepted and how did they communicate it to you? Were there any special challenges as a guy in the field?
