Mid-Manhattan Adult Learning Center 212 West 120th Street, Manhattan 10027. Telephone: 212.666.1919 or 212.666.1920. The school is located in Harlem, The manhattan school is the only school that offers the LPN prep classes and goldwater of course...if I were you I would call the same number I gave you for the link to the rn program, because then you will be able to get into the proper LPN PREP CLASS FOR HHC INSTEAD OF YOU GOING THERE ON YOUR OWN, THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. THE PROGRAM INFO I GAVE YOU FOR THE RN HAS AN LPN SECTION, IF ALL FAILS ASK TO SPEAK TO MRS. SHEILDS SHE IS THE DIRECTOR TO ALL THE SCHOOLS, MANHATTAN,BROOKLYN AND GOLDWATER, HOWEVER THE GOLDWATER PROGRAM.....HMM YOU HAVE TO SIGN A 2 YEAR CONTRACT AFTER SCHOOLING TO WORK THERE AND THEY PAY FOR THE LPN PROGRAM, THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH GOLDWATER IS IT'S A CITY HOSPITAL AND THE PATIENTS THERE ARE DISABLED, IT'S KIND OF LIKE AN ADULT NURSING HOME. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PAY FOR YOUR TUITION WHICH IS 2,500 THEN YOU CAN GO TO EITHER MANHATTAN OR BROOKLYN. I WANTED TO GO TO THE GOLDWATER PROGRAM BUT AFTER TALKING TO MY AUNT THAT IS AN LPN SHE DIDN'T HAVE MANY GOOD THINGS TO SAY AND WHAT I SAW FOR MYSELF, BUT THAT'S JUST MY OPINION. YOU MIGHT HAVE A DIFFERENT ONE. GOOD LUCK
Hey libra,
Hope to see you in brooklyn, I've been hearing the same thing that you have that we have to pay upfront and this information is coming from Marhle, the one that takes the applications she told my group that their going to start doing one payment because they've had problems in the past, I have gone to work force one to see if they will pay because they give out grants for going back to school up to $2,500. Personally, what are they going to tell all these students if they tell them they can't pay all at once, I mean really what are they going to tell us no one can start that's alot of money to come up with in one lump some especially since you might not get an acceptance letter til July!! It's like were sitting on egg shells here and we are in a freakin recession.
I know the director of the program in brooklyn and she told me every year the average students range from 69-80 students because they loose around 20 students every year by December. And Also right now over 200 passed, not everyone brings back the application package that's what marhle told my group (which was the last group to get applications) But, I still have a little anxiety about getting in. We just have to pray we all get acceptance letters soon. Jw3515, what school do you plan to attend? We should post a reply when we get are acceptance letters. Good Luck to all.

I know Libra, it's the most dragged out waiting period I had to enconter but I was told once we did everything and passed both test we are a shoe in also, Marhle told us that only 200 people passed so I say around 70 seats in earch school gives up 210 and not everyone returns the package I heard so I think we'll be fine...hey what school are you planning on attending??
