has anyone attended this program? i take the entrance test in april and i dont know what to expect. is it very hard? is this program any good?
Hello all,
Just wondering what the process is after passing the TABE. Is it possible to NOT get accepted after passing both C-NET and TABE? What does the interview consist of? Are you accepted after passing the TABE exam (since the did collect all credentials) or only post interview? I just passed the TABE but, quite frankly, am a little confused as to what comes next.
Hi, I was wondering the same. At the interview I was asked for all of my docs. then have a really quick interview. Asked if I had an med. exp. (no) though it is not required, she told me that most of the students there are in the med. field already and are use to dealing with what's necc. in the hosp. etc...
But she did tell me that I will know by June-Sept. regarding acceptance:uhoh3: yup. I've heard about them being disorganized, but let's just pray that we get in. I am not putting all my eggs in 1 basked anyhow. I would advise you to do the same.
I'm confused as well as a little annoyed I just passed the Tabe 12.9, and 11.0 in math. I was hoping to get into the Gold Water Program and was told that they were only 40 scholarships and their giving priority to the people who did the prep classes in Mid Manhattan and Gold water which is about 40 students in total. I just felt like somethig is a little fishy with that honestly. I did prep classes too at mid manhattan and was told at the end that my prep classes wasn't an official prep class from HHC. Thanks for telling me after prepin their for about four months. But hopefully, I shoud get into the manhattan school. (crossing fingers) my next step is to get my documents in, I was in the last batch to be given the packet!!! Good luck to all!!
can someone give me some info about the free RN program. I have a 17 year old niece graduating highschool in june and i just wanted to know if she would qualify for the ceo hhc program in ny . if anyone knows about this program please write me back cause she is registered for college but we really can't afford that kind of money right know and i read one of the posting about the program on this website but i can't find who wrote it.
fabou79, here is the information you need, hope this helps...
No Fab, I started taking pre-req courses at kingsborough for the rn 3 years ago after changing careers I then decided to take a CNA course at the Brooklyn Adult Learning Center so that I can get an Idea of what the nurisng enviorment was like. After talking to my instructors they told me about the LPN program so after two attempts of taking the entrance exam I passed, hopefully I'll start the LPN program this september and in 11 months I'll be an LPN. Then I will go back and try the RN Program since I have 30 credits already towards the RN program. She is fresh out of high school so she should be ok with all the pre-reqs hopefully, for me it wasn't that easy especially when I tried A&P hopefully learning it at an LPN level with help me when I go back to finish my degree. The HHC program to become a Rn is based on INCOME.... which must be low unless she works for HHC their exempt from the income guidelines, then she has to sign a 4 year employment committment is she decideds to go for the Rn program. Good Luck to her!! Hope I've been helpful.
