Hello all, I have an audition scheduled for an instructor position with Kaplan. I was wondering if anyone has any advice from experience as well as some information about what it's like working for the company.

I graduated from this program (mid-manhattan) in june2010. I am now an LPN attending an RN program as well. Its a good program but take advantage of what you can. no one will spoon feed you anything if you want it you gotta get it yourself. stay on top of the teachers if you need something done (especially towards graduation time) once youre done with the first half of the year the rest is easy breezy (alternating 2 weeks clinicals/class...but you dont get much done in class). word of advice: stay motivated. keep reading. USE THE STUDY GUIDES PROVIDED FOR YOU (not many schools will hand you all the material you need for the year without you having to look). dont get caught up in the politics/gossip (there is plenty) and SPEAK UP if you want something. also as a new grad jobs are few and far between. aim for 85+ average in order to get recommended for a bridge program lpn/rn. message me for my e-mail if anyone has any questions.

No problem Libra1012 Dollbw- During my TABE test at goldwater I had the pleasure of seeing a clinical student during her lunch hour while they made us wait. I got chills...it was that scary someone who previously described it on this thread as being florence nightengale meets alice in wonderland was correct lol its really rediculous and....old school i guess would be a proper phrase. I will be attending Manhattan also, anyone else with me?...seems like the majority over here is heading to BK

Nope...ive been trying to find it for weeks. Was there any mention of it at your registration? Also how are the uniforms...just regular scrubs?

Does anyone else have information about SBS sponsorship in their letter?

At the interview I said that it would be my first choice although I wasn't sure if I qualified so I said I would want the mahattan location. I guess ill know in a few weeks. Anyone else have mention of the payment?

Mine didn't say anything about money. I think the general registration is on 8/20 at goldwater. Please let us know if you have a varying form. I'm very curious as to what the situation is

also does anyone know what kind of CPR class must be taken for this program (family&friends,heartsaver, or bLS)?

i dont think they have assigned any locations yet. thats probably what the registration/orientation on auguest 20th is for. Just got my acceptance letter:yeah:was wondering if anyone had mention of the scholarship in theirs?

Just dug through my e-mail and was able to contact someone who was there for the TABE test. I got a reply that they are finalizing the admissions process now. (IM ASSUMING THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED TO SEND OUT ANY INFORMATION)
