Has anyone taken Pathogenic Microbiology at Macomb CC? I am registered to take it next semester and was just wondering how difficult it is, what the exams are like etc...

I took Path Micro at Macomb CC last fall - I had X as my prof. He was a good instructor - tough, but fair. I got an A, no prob. I had friends who had Xfor their instructor and all I heard were horror stories about that guy - try to avoid him if you can!!! I guess all I can suggest is study hard, and you'll be fine. That's what I did.

I had X for Bio 240 (general) over 6 weeks in the summer. I thought he was great.

Glad to hear that you had a good experience... you're the first one that I've heard say that.

Do you happend to save any exam questiones ?:)

I just took Pathogenic micro at CC this past semester with an adjunct professor named X. I did well in the class (a B+) and liked the instructor, but I was in the minority. She has an X, and doesn't always seem to understand the questions students are asking, and sometimes has difficulty explaining a concept. Her tests weren't the easiest, and even though she said all of the questions were off the lecture there was always something that we had never heard of on the test. I'm just glad it's over with...she was a nice lady, but not the best teacher:o

I think my friend transferred out of her class the first week and into X (she said she had a X professor that she couldn't understand at all). I have no idea who my instructor will be either, I am taking it M/W this fall. Please God, let it be someone else :chair:. I base my past successes on the awesome professor's I've been blessed with. I'm anxious to see who I'll get for this class.

Oh man, I just read the reviews for Professor X on ratemyprofessor.com and they were all bad :(. I'm really scared now.

hmm, we might be in the same class together. what time is yours, if you dont mind me asking?

X is awesome....i would suggest trying to get him if possible...i had him for patho this summer....he made a 6 week intense class easy to understand and fun....i have seen the X teacher you are talking about....she never smiles and is hard to understand....maybe its just me though....i struggle with understanding people with X....that will make it fun when it comes time to speak with docs since a lot are of other nationalitys :uhoh3:
