I've been a nurse for almost a year now. I'm also overly stressed and pregnant. I know I'm not the only one. I know many nurses have gone and lived successful careers with the stresses of family & work. I just don't know how to cope. This is my 2nd nursing job at a SNF, and last week I made the mistake of taking on overtime within my first week out of training. I broke down and started crying in front of my coworkers & preceptor. She told me to calm down, and that I'm doing fine. But my bp is up, and the headaches always come when I know I'm working that day. I just don't know if I made the right choice becoming a nurse. This is all I'm good at, I'm no good at anything else. I've been changing diapers since i was 9 years old! I need some advice, I can't keep this stress level, it's not good for me or my baby. Is there another part of nursing other than working the floor that isn't as stressful? Please help!

I struggled through LPN school and now trying to pass NCLEX. I feel hopeless, I graduated almost a year ago and Im afraid to register to take the exam again. I admit i havent been studying as hard as I should.. I just dont want fail again. I just got so much on my mind besides nclex. HELP!

My instructor wants me to present general information about what the nurse should do if a patients lab value of creatinine was either High or Low. I was reading somewhere that the treatment was similar to one like the BUN level.

I know, I didn't mean to sound like I was upset with you. It gets frustrating, and I know everyone does during some point. But, thank you for the advice. I'm doing my best to make setbacks, just a setback. I apreciate your comments. thx

I wasn't blaming the professor for my bad grade. I didn't expect him to give me more than what i earned. I'm just griping, cuz we all need to let out our frustration somewhere. None of my friends, besides one knows what its like to be in college. My parents for sure have no idea, they're from a country thats stricken by war right now. I apologize if I seem to be acting like a child, as I said before, I'm just letting out steam. I could only assume nursing students could relate. I wasnt looking for sympathy, I know what it takes to be a nurse, and I'm doing my best, but if its not enough, well that sucks for me.

So my micro professor was the spawn of satan last semester, now I must retake the class because a C wont cut it for me. He knew my mother was sick, and that I was trying my best. I understand you must work hard to get your grades, but life doesn't cut you breaks either. My mother was in the hospital for much of the semester, and I work full time, it's not easy. I know this sounds like a moan and groan post, but does anyone feel me on this? Now i have to wait another year to apply. THIS SUCKS:angryfire

Hey all, I was wondering if any of you were applying in feb 08 for the nursing program at Mcc. If you are, do you know if it's true they're not taking the last 12 credits anymore, and just your sciences? I heard this from some classmates in my micro class. Anyone know?

My friend just graduated this year. She said it was tough, but learned a lot.

Has anyone registered for it yet? Does it fill up fast? cuz I work a little more than an hour from the school, and i live like a half hour from from the school, and I'm trying to find time to go register. but due to my luck and circumstances with my car, I can't get there on time. Also,those who have taken it, was it hard? where can i get good study guides?
