Microbiology or Chemistry for Summer I

Hi, I need advice on what to take this summer - it's an 8 week class and i can take either microbio or chemistry.... which do you think would be easier on a fast pace semester?

Hi,

IMO I would take chemistry first. My reason is, to me, it's easier than mircobio. Do you have any bio background? On top of that if you haven't taken the pre-entrance exam then chemistry would benefit more. Typically they don't test on Microbio but will test you on basic chemistry. I hope this helped.

Hi -

I would take chem first. I took it last semester and am taking micro this semester, and there are definitely some concepts from chem that I am encountering again in micro. Not sure what kind of chem class it is (general, organic, etc) that you are going to take, but if there is any biochem component then, in my experience, it is useful to understand that before taking micro.

definitely take chemistry first. like what everyone is saying, chemistry is easier than microbiology and for me, when i tool it, it gave me a little background on what to expect when i took micro. and trust me, i know a lot of people who regretted taking microbiology during the summer.

but it is totally up to you on whichever you feel comfortable doing...
