Micro Fall 2008

Published

 I am taking Micro this fall 2008 at BMCC in the NYC. I received A's in all my other pre-reqs. I HEAR MICRO IS A MONSTER! Honestly, I am a tiny bit scared. My micro class I am taking in the fall also has writing intensive attached to it. I really want to do well in the course, so I can go on to my clinicals in Spring 2009. Can anyone give me advice, wesites, or any materials I should look out for to help me prepare for this mercy-less course.:scrying:

See if you can email the instructor and get the syllabus ahead of time and talk to some students who had the course. Also go ahead and get a tutor's name and number so that you are prepared. If you have done this well so far, just keep up the hard work and don't over stress yourself.

I'm also taking Micro this fall along with A&P 2. I stuck with the same professor I had for A&P 1 because I like his style and know what to expect.

A friend of mine took Micro this summer with the same professor I will have, so I found out what textbook she uses and ordered one. My friend suggested reading the first few chapters before the class even begins.

I'm actually looking forward to Micro.

I have Micro this fall and I'm actually looking forward to it. I just finished my summer general biology class today with an A. I had no idea how much I would love biology. I'm almost tempted to skip all this nursing stuff and go strait into genetics ;). Are there good jobs in genetics?

Congrats on the excellent grade. Yes there are careers in genetics however, I believe that you will need to get a Masters or PhD, it all depends on what You want to do in the field. Your best option is to talk to a University Professor who knows about the field and they can send you on the right path. Most importantly get all the correct information you need to make a firm choice. Good Luck!:yeah:
