Micro and AP2 together?

Published

This fall will be my final semester of pre-reqs. All I need is Micro and A&P II left so after a lot of thinking, I decided to take them together. Am I setting myself up for failure? I just felt like, with those being the only classes I will have, plus not working, I should have a good chance at succeeding just fine. I have one child, but he is pretty good at keep himself occupied if I am busy with school work. I just did not want to drag out the only 2 classes I have left into 2 semesters and have to wait until NEXT fall to try to apply for the program. I'd rather be done and apply as soon as I can.

Also, speaking of applying, have any of you ever applied while taking your last semester of pre-reqs? Can I apply during fall while I'm still enrolled in the last 2 courses or do I need to wait until they are completed and apply in spring?

Next semester is my last semester of pre-reqs too. All I have left is Micro and then I will be applying for the nursing program fall 2014. Can not wait to get this year over with. At my school, I will be done this summer with what counts as points towards getting in the program so I am definitely doing my application in the next couple of weeks. Good luck to you and I think you can do both of them, you just have to have discipline.

I did A&P I and Micro together along with a precalc and english lit class last semester. I did fine, but I did have to put in the time.

I'm applying to my BSN program while I'll be finishing up my pre reqs. I know most schools offer that as an option, but you'd have to check with your program to be sure.

At my school taking ap and micro together are kind of norm. :) so I think it'd be fine.

I did those 2 together and it is very doable. Lots of work though. Ended with a B in micro and an A in A&P 2. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your feedback!! I feel MUCH more confident that I can do it and be fine, especially seeing some of you that did those 2 AND like 3 other courses on top of normal home/work/mommy life!! I can't imagine lol. I should have no excuse to not get an A, or at least a high B in them.
