Michigan State University Accelerated 2nd Degree BSN

Published

Has anyone applied to MSU's Accelerated BSN program for start date of May 2014 that did not get in as a traditional student? Hoping we can all keep each other in the loop here on the status of our apps in case they do wait lists. I am also interested to know what people have been denied/accepted with in the past as far as the 2nd degree program goes. I heard it's easier to get into than the traditional program, but who knows...

did anyone else get their letter yet (acceptance or rejection)? I live in East Lansing and I still didn't get mine.

I would call con admissions and ask.

I'm still waiting as well!

That seems weird. I thought they always used to release decisions at the same time. Maybe they changed their process?

I live in East Lansing as well and haven't gotten a letter either. Does anyone on here live in EL and has gotten a letter?

I live in EL and havent gotten one either. It sounds like everyone who has gotten them hasn't lived in EL. I applied with a 3.3 overall and am a current senior.

I live in EL too and haven't gotten a letter yet. I called yesterday and they said they were still processing them and they should all be out by the end of the week.

Thanks for the update kwillemot!! :)

My mail just came and still no letter. That is so weird. I read through some of the old discussion boards and it seemed like they released all decisions at once in the past.

thanks guys! I guess just keep in touch! Are you both current students as well?

Yup! I'm a senior at MSU. Do you guys go to MSU as well?

What GPA did you apply with? I wonder how many transfers vs current students they take

I am not sure if I was considered a transfer or current student...I went to MSU for 3 years (all prereqs from MSU), then transferred to another college and got my BSBA, then took PHM 350 and applied to nursing school at the same time (so I'm technically a current student.)
