Nursing Students SRNA

Hi! Haven’t seen a thread for MSU CRNA DNP 2020 program, so thought I’d start one. Any other applicants on here? Has anyone received an invitation to interview? Interviews are being held August 19-23 and the 26th, and they’re supposed to notify those who receive invites in early August... I know a few other applicants and none of them have heard anything either. Getting anxious! Any other info or insights on MSU’s program or their interview process would be great!

I was offered an interview this morning via email.

I did apply to Lourdes! I might end up withdrawing my Lourdes application because I was accepted into a DNP program.

Does anyone have insight on MSU's clinical rotations? What specialty rotations MSU offers? Their website is not helpful in identifying the types of cases the students will receive throughout the program.

There are certain numbers of cases/hours students are required to complete in order to graduate, so student will gain experience in large and small hospitals, trauma, open heart, neuro, peds, OB, etc.

I did ask them about CRNA-only sites during my interview and the Assistant Director said that all students spend 8 weeks and those sites to get a lot of their regional anesthesia in. If students are really interested in pursuing independent practice after graduation, she said she makes it a point to try to get them back for another rotation after all the other students have done their 8 weeks.

Anyone who had their interview heard anything yet?
