Schoolcraft LPN-RN Fall 2017

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

Hello AN!

I just passed the TEAS 6 at Schoolcraft this past Friday (after not scoring well enough in science on the TEAS 5 earlier this year). All of my pre-reqs have been accepted (from HFCC and Davenport, where I completely my LPN last year) and am now just waiting for contact from the school after submitting my resume and hours worked.

I'm starting this thread to keep in touch with other Fall 2017 hopefuls, as well as alumni of this program to give us insight.

Thanks in advance.

Specializes in Postpartum, Mother/Baby, Comm. Health, Geriatric.
Have you graduated yet? Have you started studying for you NCLEX-RN?

If you don't mind me asking. What was your overall (pre requisites and cummitive)GPA ? Did you retake any classes? I'm really worried about a W on my transcript.

I graduated May 5th, took my NCLEX May 29th, found out I passed 2 hours after completion via email from LARA/ACCELA (state board), pay was increased at my current position by $3 an hour (LPN rate to RN rate), and I have just accepted a position as a full time Postpartum nurse. These last 2 months were very intense and flew by fast.

I brushed up on areas that I did not have a full understanding for NCLEX of via ATI study materials, a 35 page pdf i found on this site, and you tube (Remar nursing, Mike Linares, Sara for Registered Nurse RN) for a few weeks.

Idk what my overall was as I have an associate degree in liberal arts from Henry Ford College, a pharmacy technology certificate from Henry Ford, classes taken at Baker, and my LPN was completed at Davenport. So i transferred all of that in when I applied to Schoolcraft's LPN-RN bridge program (NCLC or something like that is the official name). I wouldn't stress about it if I were you.

Hope that helped.

Congratulations!!!!! I am so happy for you! Do you have the link to the 35 page pdf that you found on this site? One more question. Did Schoolcraft provide ATI books? Those books helped me prepare tremendously for the PN-NCLEX.

I am also starting this cohort....

GPA has to be 2.5 or higher

Yes, I have matriculated. I thought that I replied to your post earlier; however, I do not see my response. My overall GPA was 3.84 and I did not retake any classes.
