Possible WCCCD Nursing Applicants

U.S.A. Michigan

Published

I applied for Wayne County Community Nursing program 01/2011. I have yet to hear from the college if accepted or not :crying2:. Has any WCCCD applicants heard back regarding their applications? Everytime I call the Nursing office they tell me letters have not been sent out yet. The stress from waiting is killing me slowly.

Just include your A# and turn it in. They go by the test scores you received at their testing site on campus. As mention before, you must get at least a minimum score in all required subjects: Science, Math, Reading and English, however to be competitive as possible, you want to get the highest scores in Math, Reading and English. Have you taken the test yet?

I passed by the bare minimum. I want to get a higher score but its too late now so I will just apply with what I have. I am curious about the admission process do they look at the scores on your printout sheet only or do they look at the other scores you received in the past in their system? what if they want you to use your most recent scores??

Well, don't beat yourself up. And by all means turn in what you have. As far as what they look at, they look at what you give them as long as it's not expired. ( I think within 2 years)

Unless, you have failed 3x, it's not too late to retake it in 45 days and still quality for January 2013 (Spring) semester. Try to recall as much as you can from the test that you were unsure of and focus on those areas from the TEAS book.

And cheer up!

I am going to apply for Fall and if I don't get in, I will retake the TEAS for a higher score and try for January

Has anyone ever gotten in WCCC RN program with the bare minimum?

bump anybody??

that would be a question for the nursing department

has anyone submitted their apps yet?

I'm going February 22!!

Specializes in Cardiology.

What are the dates to turn in your app for fall 2012 and winter 2013?

See, [h=1]For WCCCD and other students. Test strategies I've learned.[/h]

Here is some advice that I would like to pass along to you newbies. Im finishing up my first semester and it was very difficult. In addition to your school books,

purchase nclex exam books

purchase optional work books for your first semester lecture class

Answer the questions and study the rationales in both of these books

This will give you an idea of how questions will be asked on quizzes and exams. This is very, very important!!!!!! Thank me later:)

Hello,

Currently I am attending WCCCD and will be applying to the Nursing Program. I'm curious if you were accepted. Also what was the cut off for GPA and points?
