well, the day was loooooong, and to me, we didn't get a lot accomplished for the time we had to sit there. the day began with chaotic lines trying to get uniforms ordered, then listening for 2 1/2 hours while the dean read us the rules. after that, a few presentations for study techniques and stress busters. the literature led us to believe we'd be choosing clinical sites, but only a sign-up sheet was produced for those who desired p.m. clinicals. a.m. sites would be selected once we're in school, i believe.

no info on instructors (except their office phone #'s), books, or anything. we were just told how hard it was all going to be.

i was a bit surprised at the unorganization of the first part of the day.

good news #1: i'm in! i'll take the above, cuz i'm in!!

good news #2: i met some really super people today. they seem helpful, smart, fun, excited, and a tiny bit scared.

here we go!! :partyhat:

Hey amybeth. Well the post by mysimpleplan said it all. I just got your pm... but everything that was posted was it. The orientation was a very long long day. No we didn't really hear a thing about instructors pretty much different speakers coming in and talking about stress manangement, study skill ect.... Lots of booths set up for uniforms and other nursing supplies which did seem a little disorganized. All in all I am excited though as I will be starting in less than a week!!!! I was able to get most of my books and stethoscope and all other supplies that day. It seems overwheming right now as I look at all the books.... but I think I am ready.
