Okay, I strongly dislike when I'm not told upfront about tuition until after I've wasted hours "touring" campuses and being ooh'ed and awed.
Keiser University Tuition PER SEMESTER is 7400 + a 450
educational fee.
West Coast University is.................wait for it.............. 17000 per semester. Does not have, Florida Board of Nursing NCLEX pass rates because they have yet to have a graduating nursing class, they just opened April 2014.
They also, do not have a GI Bill program in place for you veterans out there.
Uniforms and books are not included in these tuition prices.
I'm going to NSU next week to be informed. Let me know if you have anymore questions, because the answers i WENT TO THE SCHOOL to find out were not available online.

West Coast University is a private for- profit school well known to cost over $100,000 for a BSN and grants & subsidized loans are insufficient to cover the costs & fees. Thus requiring private loans. (If they even qualify to participate in federal financial aid as a new program)
WOW! I had NO idea. I'm VERY new to Miami, and in a BSN google search these schools come up, but they never say the tuition over the phone, or by email. Schedule a "tour" and we'll go over it, is now a "red flag" for me.

Nova Is $25,000 for the school year but it is a 2 year program. I would recommend sticking to state schools or non private schools if your concerned about paying too much. For example, FIU is also located in Miami and for the traditional BSN it is $16,000 for the whole program.
These prices are all on the websites and do not include fees, uniforms, etc and are the rates for Florida residents.
Right, thats correct, I'm currently a MDC student taking my per-requisites, and I plan on transferring there.

Also, if I may add, you could go to the University of Miami (private, nonprofit) for less than that.
EDIT: Allnurses double posted my post.

That is how for profit colleges are. They hire basically "used car salesman" to sell their product. If you have ever bought a car they never tell you a final price until you are about to sign the papers. All they want is your money and they don't care if you succeed. A state nonprofit university or community college is your best bet. They want you to succeed and thus will help you along the way.

In the miami/broward area the only public BSN generic program is FIU. Nova, UM, Barry all private but non-profit. FIU does not accept everyone so the private institutions are considered.

Although not in Broward/Miami Dade, FAU, which is located in Boca Raton (Palm Beach County) is certainly an option for a public/State University with reasonable tuition rates close to that of FIU. From a cost perspective, the two step process of getting your associate degree from a Community College and then Bridge RN-BSN can be very cost effective, albeit, takes a bit longer than two years after completing all pre-requisites/General Ed Courses. In most cases, you can get your employer to paid for the RN-BSN portion.
Hello, I wanted to know if anyone has been chosen or put in a application for the Memorial Healthcare System scholarship in recent years. I'm going into my third semester of a BSN program and was wondering if it is still available? I wanted to receive some info from a BSN recipient.
