Anyone know anything about the TEAS test -- when do they offer it and is it really difficult? Just when I thought I had everything to apply to MDC they add something new.

The Teas test is not difficult. I don't know when they offer it.

It says on the site that the new admission criteria with the TEAS test is effective May 2, 2010 -- but the deadline for the Fall Accelerated admission is May 1, 2010. Does that mean that the new criteria is for the Spring 2011 admission, and isn't for the Fall 2010 admission?

It's not that difficult. There is a lot of anatomy, basic chemistry, phyfics, a bit of microbiology and nature of bacteria, etc...I will say more like biology, math, statistics. It's a bit of everything. It;'s ok...good luck

I am so freaking ecstatic about these new requirements. I had to go the LPN route first at MDC because of the cumaltive gpa requirement. The requirements for the LPN program were to take the PAX-PN test. Top 50 (out of 400 apparently) scores got into the program. This is going to make it much easier for the "right" people to get into the nursing program. 4.0 cumalative gpas eat ur heart. WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I have talked to an advisor at MDC and these new requirements start in Spring 2011 (september deadline). Good luck to you all
