Just wondering if anyone has received their letter that has applied to the fall term for RN at MDC. They told me I would be notified by the middle of June...that would be tomorrow.....Post here when you find out!

CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE!!! :balloons:

I'm in the 2nd semester (Med-Surg) at Medical Campus and I can tell you, it's HARD, but worth it! MDC's NCLEX passing rate has jumped last year and they will prepare you very well!!!

Fundamentals, Pharm.Math, Skills, and Clinical aren't too difficult in the first semester, just remember to read the chapters AND the power point slides, try not to procrastinate at the end, and keep up good grade BEFORE finals so you don't stress yourself out, but most of all, ENJOY your time at MDC! The months will fly by!!!

(...Off to finish my careplans...)

What day is your orientation? Mine is July 14 at Medical Campus... Have you completed your CPR/BLS? and your immunizations? I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off!

Hello mom12! My orientation is on the 14th too at Medical Campus. I'm scheduled for CPR class next Saturday. I'm almost done with my immunizations, just need to to get my Hepa vaccine and PPD skin test tomorrow. I've been taking time off left and right at work, good thing my boss already know I'm leaving soon.

See u next week then :)

hey!

Im taking CPR class on the 15th. I will see you on the 14th. Do you know anything about the orientation? Does it last all day? I mean do we stay there the whole day, or just go long enough to find out what we need and then go? I havent talked to anyone about orientation.

The letter stated 9am to 430pm. I think they will be giving us information on the program, how to register for classes then the other requirements. I haven't talk to anyone that went through orientation, I guess we'll wait and see then :lol2:

Talk to you later!

Good luck, everyone! If you have any questions on any classes/professors, just PM me.

Hey everyone. This post is a bit old. I just want to know how you guys are doing or did with the MDC program. I hear it is killer. I just want to pass. So many students fail and do bad. I just want to get through it. I do not know how well I am going to be doing. I am scared.

I am scared because I have two children and all the students and faculty keep telling the students to say good bye to their families because for the next year and a half it is going to be killer! I mean I am scared, I do not want to leave my family behind at all. I want to study and not be so deadly stressed out. I want time for them too.

So what do you guys think? Some tips on nursing school please!!!!!!!!!

A girl told me that in one week she had to read sixteen chapters in a week, and then she had a test on it! I mean is that possible? How can anyone do that much reading without buring out?
