Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hi Raquel, How long is that program? I was looking for the program curriculum online but I couldn't find it. I am applying for the Accelerated program to get the Associates, but I plan to do that one after. Also, if you don't mind me asking, are you working as an RN already? :)

Hi! the program if you want to be full time is 3 semesters, but if you are part time it's 4 or 5. That's awesome! good luck to you. I actually work at Baptist Hospital but I have not had luck with an RN job :( I applied everywhere but nothing. I will be applying to the versant program at baptist hospital in December which is a new grad residency for new grad nurses so hopefully I get accepted into that

I didn't even apply for the Spring 2015 semester, will be applying for Fall 2015, and I'm super anxious for you all! I feel as if I'm the one getting the email LoL

Versant program sounds very interesting, I will look into that for the future. I am positive that getting your BSN will propel you to great opportunities in the field. I wish you the best of luck! Great job on continuing your education also :)

Sperkyperk where are you??? you started this forum and havent heard from you in a long time, hope everything is ok with you!! Im so nervous and stressed out that I dont have any energy or mind to study for my sociology, statistic, enc1102 and nutrition tests. Its midterm for me and this week and next week have all these 4 tests, this waiting needs to stop

Same thing is happening with me ! I'm taking four classes too, including statistics, and I can't concentrate muxh. We just had the midterm and I don't think I did well. I hope all this wait is worth it )

I had a test 2 weeks ago and did really bad, he is going to give another test again. I hope so too that all of this will be worth it and I think the big day is tomorrow too after 2 pm.

I heard Baptist only accept BSN for their Versant program

hi guys, I've been following this thread for a few weeks, checking everyday to see if anyone got in, just wanted to wish you all the best of luck, hopefully we all get in! i applied to the generic full time program. ANYTIME NOW! :)

Yes baptist wants BSN. Thats why I had to apply ASAP to a BSN program because if you apply to versant you will probably be accepted if you have an Associate's if they know you are pursuing your bachelors.

I applied but I didn't know in the application for the RN-BSN they had an online option. I would like the online because I work full time. My friend was accepted for Fall 2014 term and when she got accepted they asked her if she wanted to attend online or in class. Best of luck to you!

When I did the AS program I found out 11 weeks before school started...so hopefully this week or next week.

Oh ok that make sense...at least you got your foot in the door...I work at Jackson and I'm hoping to do their internship program (kind of like the Versant program) best of luck to you as well and everyone else
