Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
Hey, i was reading my application that I turned in and I see the the part time option is offered in spring and I called right now and I am correct, the person who asnwer said that is something new.
Lol, so they changed their minds about the Spring semester. Well that should hopefully free some spots for those that are applying to the Full-time track.
Hello, has anyone applied and can let me know how the experience was? (quick, easy, anything we have to bring with us, etc). I don't live in Miami and will be driving down to apply next week. Thanks :-)
It is fairly quick, the only long part its the wait time to he seen by an advisor. Advisor goes over a checklist, prints your transcripts, makes you fill some paperwork, sign papers. Pay the fee and thats it. The waiting game begins.
You only need some form of ID and money to pay the application fee.
Dont lose hope, all these time I have been calculating my gpa with A+,B+ etc and my science gpa was 3.47 and miami dade doesnt calculate gpa like that. So my final gpa is 3.27 no 3.47 like I thought. I was like OMG at the beginning and panicking but now im like whatever it is meant to be, it will be. If not then I will apply to private schools and owe a lot of money in Loans

I asked when I applied, the advisor said that the cumulative GPA is all the grades combined. It includes all classes taken at MDC or transferred from other institutions.
