Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Yes. I'm still taking pre requisites.

My gpa is 3.3 I know is not as competitive as I wish, but oh well.... That'll have to do!! :sarcastic:

I have also applied to Nova. Around same time, june-july, so will see where we end up going. Keeping those fingers crossed

From what I understood it has to be an overall of 3.0 GPA.

Now, the question is if they'd consider (let's assume) a 2.95 a 3.0 using the "rounding up" method. Call them! They always have advisors willing to answer your questions over the phone. They are great :)

Well I have a 3.1 for both of my gpas let's see where I get accepted too

We'll be fine. As long as we do well in the interviews and entrance exam at Nova. Now for MDC is just hoping not too many people with super high GPAs apply. We'll be fine either way :)

Thank you guys. I will get a copy of my unofficial transcript to show them and see. Otherwise i will have to talk to and advisor at MDC. I'm going to apply in January in case I don't get accepted I will ask them to see if I can take 2 science classes. I got a C in Micro and C in Anatomy Lab I, the lecture with A and the rest A and B. Two C brought my science GPA to 2.79 :( but I've seen some people get accepted to MDC. My cumulative is around 3.00. Anyways I will never give you. I'm going to apply to broward college as well.
