Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hello and Thank you,

I completed just about everything, but there is a speech course that was not transferred over and I need to meet with the chair person in the English department to have it transferred in. I hope they approve it when I submit my request. Also, do you know how they're calculating the natural science gpa (60%)? Good luck to us all.

Hey friend I'm taking Speech this Fall bc they did not accept the one i took at another College i spoke to someone at the Interamerican English department and she did not want to do the class exception :( I took SPC2608 and they want SPC1017. Please let me know how it went so I can try my best to see if they accept it like that. That's the only class I'm missing. I'm ready to apply I'm in the same situation like you. Let me know who you spoke to so I can do the same. What speech class did you take ?

I took fundamental of speech course at a cuny school in new york. Speech is speech I don't know what the issue is.

I know ! Bc they want more money. Lol. I think you should be fine bc SPC1017 is the same as your class "Fundamental of Speech". Mine is Introduction to Public Speaking, but I agree with you. Speech is Speech... Both classes are related... We all had to give a Speech in front of the class. They always made it so complicated.

Sperky I have a lot of science classes too from I previous career I've started but never finish. I don't even have financial aid bc of excessive credits. I have paid a few of me prerequisites out of pocket. That will be great if all here get accepted. I will apply January bc I'm taking my last pre reque this fall.

I hear ya! I switched my major 3 times :banghead: I have always loved the medical field, so here I am! I know this is so stressful for all of us. I am glad we can at least use this thread to communicate and vent our frustrations. You guys are my support!!!

You all aren't the only one with tons of credits in the span of 12 years (speaking about me here, lol). All we can do it keep the faith and our eyes on the prize.

14 Years of credits here Lol ! I can't wait to start nursing school. Positive thinking -> We are already accepted !
