Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hi All,

I am in the process of transferring my Business Degree from other university to MDC. I have NO science courses, so need to start taking them this fall. Anyone is at the North campus? I plan to tale Chemistry there, need advise!!

Anyone took online pre-requisites? Were they easier?

I am looking to apply for Accelerated program for those who have bachelor in other field.

Hi Lurdes77, I took my science courses in the north campus such as chemistry and anatomy labs. I had A professor last name Duan, I dont remember the last name and he was good in my opinion and I got A in the lecture and the lab. But I dont see him giving lessons in the fall when I look for chemistry schedule. also if you can get anatomy classes with Marylien is a professor really really good. I took anatomy lecture online with Carlos Ruiz, he is good but you have to study hard for the midterm and final which are proctored, also he gives extra credits.

Lurdess777 check professors reviews on MDC rate my professors. com. It's good to check reviews before registration.

Do you guys know if MDC will implement a new entrance test ? I will apply for Fall 2015 ... I hope not. I got so happy when I found our that the took away the test.

For Fall Speech and Introduction to Health Care at Medical Campus, these are my last classes.

Do you guys know if MDC will implement a new entrance test ? I will apply for Fall 2015 ... I hope not. I got so happy when I found our that the took away.

BLNurse when I asked the advisor if this was a permanent change, she answered: at least for the spring term.... so maybe they are considering something for other semesters. The other thread that I'm following "fall 2014" after orientation they had to do a test, Pearson test, I think it was Math, Anatomy and English. The advisors told them that the results wouldn't affect them since they were already accepted into the program, which doesn't make any sense at all since they already had to go through the NLN. Idk .... I think I confused you even more :down:

Yari, what I think is that they are testing them to implement something new, but since it does not count i would not even care about the score,nothing makes sense. I don't know what to expect on January 2015 when I applied

My friend went to the recent orientation, took the Pearson test, and was told that the purpose of the test was to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the students.
