Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Oh cool yeah I figured out how to do it! Thanks! We have to see how those scores evolve. I know people who are taking it on the last day which is the 31st (most of them retakers)!

Idk I think so! Anywhere in the 80 sounds good from what I heard! But I always thought in the 90s is what made you a forsure candidate but now seeing the class avg and stuff. I have no idea what to think! We just have to be hopeful and think positivly :)

Now you will be addicted like me to check everyday. Let us know how those friends did, what were their scores in the first try? I have a friend that will do it on the 29 for the first time

Do you guys know if they start checking applications as they received them or they start on september 2?

Is that even accurate cause my numbers are different from the different attempts

It could be because the new scores have been generated from ppl that finished taking it at 9pm?

am still seeing 2 different averages

Hello people, I took my HESI second attempt yesterday. My firs attempt was 77.43 and yesterday I got 83.43.

83.43 HESI and 3.5 gpa give me like 85? What do you think?

Bebes two different averages where? They show you the national average and then they show you the class average which has been fluctuating after every person tests.

Cfcm800f anywhere in the 80's I think is pretty good! But like I said before I'm not sure either.

Good job on raising the test result, how many people where in admission and doing the HESI with you tell us everything!! PLEASE

Well I counted at least 16 people, 4 or 6 retaking the test

the second test is harder

Let's be positive, and patient. The advisor told me that some people are in the 70's, and few at 90's. And also that maybe for October is the appl review.
