I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ?? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?
So I guess no one answers my questions ever LOL? Any so at orientation they will change our degree and then and only then will we be able to register?

During orientation, we weren't allowed to register for classes. We were told we would be automatically dropped. But after orientation, if you are compliant with Complio then you will be allowed to register for the classes. Hopefully you have the choice of selecting the classes/clinical site/instructors of your choice. Good luck! ?

Hey everyone! I hope all is well... Congrats to everyone who has been accepted into MDC nursing program! I know I'm a little late on this post but is there anyone here who has been accepted into the Accelerated program? Our orientation is this friday and I was wondering if anyone wants to keep in touch via groupme/email/facebook?
What's the uniform? is it the green scrubs, then white for clinical?
Can we purchase it elsewhere?
Did they give a book list?
They did give us a book list. The uniform is green scrubs for lecture and white for clinical with the embroidery. We were told we could not get it anywhere else, though many speak of the uniform store across the campus...which kind of "OK" it, but in the end said that it all depends on your instructor that will be strict on uniform policy.

It's up to you. They gave us a list of classes to help jump start for when it was time to select. You can already start "shopping" for classes though so you can have an idea of what you want. ?
