Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

I won't see it on Mdc until u have register for classes. Miami Dade see that u are not register for any classes so they don't pull your financial aid. Once u get accepted it will post

2 more days for the end of the deadline "HOPEFULLY" I am soooo excited I can wait,I will cry and screem like crazy if I receive the acceptance letter. I hope to meet all of you at school

Um um the last deadline was yesterday what are you talking about lol... Trust me I don't even know what I'll do when I get my acceptance letter I'll be so happy

Omg yes the deadline was yesterday even better so it is waiting time now, I can wait

Hello everyone, i have a 74 Hesi Score and a 3.8 GPA. Hopefully i make it in. Good Luck to you all !

We should know in about 4 to 6 weeks

Welcome!!!! I got in my first hesi test 74 with 3.73 gpa and I retook it and got 78.24 and I think you have a good chance, awesome gpa, good luck

OMG!! You all start talkingg like that and I get sooo excited!

Wait time!

Am I the only crazy one looking into stethoscopes and penlights? LOL

Lol I don't even wanna think of these things yet until I know for a fact that my acceptance letter is in the mail....

I know i hope i wont be disappointed

Have faith and God will prevail

What do you mean? I've been applying to the nurse program but graduated 1yr ago and have taken no classes since. Would it be too late to apply for financial aid?

Also is it possible to have a part time job while in nursing school. The advisor said I could have one, will any of you be working while attending ?
