Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Same with me I hope if God willing I get in, it will be in homestead campus since its 2 mins from my house

Oh nice! I'll be seeing you there! ( like you said, god willing!)

IDK I'm so anxious I cant stop thinking about it!!

I know me too!! I also applied to Nova and have the test and interview coming up, but mdc is my first choice

OMG you did????

I havent sent in my nursing cas or supplemental yet.

Good luck!! If anything nova is an awesome school.

I think ill turn in my application sometime by october

Am definitely going to the downtown campus cause I live closer to that one.. So anyone knows how man students they pick for each campus

I was exactly in ur shoes last acceptance and let me tell you this program is no joke!!!!!!!!! I'm super tired all I do is study we have a test everybtuesday on 8 chapters and each chapter is like 15 pages.

OMG you really are scaring me are you able to work somewhat during the program??

Wow! That's intense but I believe I am prepared for it. It's gonna be hard but worth it. Nothing worth doing comes easy in life :)

Really???

But how do you like it?

How is the program itself?

Clinicals?

Do you have any good tips for us once we get in?

Totally agree

Somebody know how the schedule will be? How many days per week, clinicals, etc?

I think you get to choose your schedule depending what days are good for you and what days they have available. Like my friend has Monday's off and Wensdays she doesn't have class still like 1. But that's for generic idk the others
