Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

I don't understand what do you mean? But that's what arw they saying maybe they need mire money and mire people retaking the test al is about business

No this is what some of my friends didnt apply.

im assuming since many people didnt apply maybe they didnt make as much money as the expected.

it could be about the college making money. Idk.

i think an 84 is a very competitive score and i hope they all make it in!

I guess what I mean is they have 100-150seats and well over that should have applied by now. Is it really not enough to fill the seats or is there a money quota?

Who knows. But hopefully they dont go crazy with another extension

A friend of mine made the hesi 2 days ago and got 78 and 3.5 gpa

Oh not bad! Yeah the friends i spoke about in the posts before have 3.3-3.5 gpas

Well I just hope we get in just a few days before the deadline is over am so paranoid I think am going to go there Monday to make sure that my application is on file and didn't get lost

Yeah I get you.

Thats a great idea! I think I'm going to call and find out and make sure my application is also on file. (Imagine it isnt or it got lost, I'd cry!)

I hope we get the acceptance emails the same day/ week every other year has received it even though they didn't get an extension this far like us this year.

ive read threads that state by october 18 they receive the first round of emails

Hopefully cause am ready to get this show on the road

Seriously me too!!

I'm so anxious!!

Can't wait to meet you all!

Can't wait to meet you guys either and study together... I think everyone with a 3.4 gpa or higher and 78 hesi score should get accepted specially with not a lot of ppl applying

Yeah definitely.

I have a feeling if I get in itll be to homestead campus since I am closer.

I heard they choose for you..
