Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

Yes there will be people in the orientation that will help u with the complio if u guys become complient that day they will tell u guys to register on ya own

Ive submitted everything expect for the background check which is ready to be picked up tomorrow. I hope they'll let me then.

Yea they will have people on orientation that can approve you complio right there

How did you find out the background check was ready? did you get your email at the mdc email or another primary email you put down?..How long did it take?...I got mine started on Wednesday and fingerprints done on Friday...I will have everything this week, possibly by tomorrow afternoon, and waiting on the background check UGH!.... last thing will be the cpr card which will be Friday. Do they help you become compliant if you show them prove of scheduling for the cpr class at dade, paid schedule and all? does anybody know??

Hi All, I got an acceptance email today for the Fall Generic. I know I am late into the game now and have a week to gather all the paperwork. Can you please share how to get the schedule that best suits me (3 days a week)? How did you guys register?

I got a call from them and have been accepted as well!!!! I'm a little nervous cause have to get all this paper work ready in less than two weeks but extremely happy about it !!!

Congrats. So is true that they can still send acceptance letters two weeks before classes stars.... I have a question though. Did you guys ever received a denied letter ?

I received a denied letter on July and was completely devastated. There's still hope, don't loose it!!!

I have not received denial.

My problem is I am out of country till the end of this week and will only have one werk to get the paperwork ready.

Where did you guys do your titers?? And drug screen?
