Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

I haven't received anything yet. I have a combined of 3.6 something

Maybe you are in the safe side.

the new shot for 2015 has not even been released yet so I don't now if we are supposed to take the one from last year or what.

That is a good point, but I don't know who to ask.

Do not be discouraged!!!! Apply again but open up your options ! I too got my denial letters today for both generic full time joband part time. And this is my second time applying to mdc . So this time I also applied for broward college too because it is cheap and respected program. So I was accepted to broward but was denied by mdc. Just apply again but open your options !!!!!

I think you should take the shot to be on the safe side to comply with their requirements and also to be safe cause you will be exposed to healthy and sick people. think twice!!!!

You guys do not need the old influenza, when September comes u will be required to take it. Anyways no body has that vaccine avaliable because we out of season

but on the complio website it is shown as a requirement so I don't get it

have any of you guys who got accepted for the generic full time at homestead campus taken the influenza shot?

No. You cant. Its not in season yet. They automatically accepted mines blank a few days ago

Got the rejection letter today for generic full time. I have a 3.62 combined. I'm calling tomorrow to clear some things up before I apply again.

Can anyone said their gps for rejection. Mine is low 3.1

I got my rejection email today. My science gpa is 3.5 and my overall 3.7. Oh well, I don't think I'll reapply. I got two little ones at home and they're a handful so I'll just wait till they are a little older.
