Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

Im paying the 235 at dade to do the physical does that include the influenza nd hepatitis vaccine?

In medical campus is the cheapest one. I payed more. You have to register in the Coplio website and pay, then you can scan it or you can even take a picture and submit it.

Mayavali so it's not just the titers they also do the hepatitis and vaccines?I'm not sure I feel like it sounds too cheap to be true and okay thank you

Hey guys, I got an email saying that Fall semester registration just starts. For those who got accepted to nursing program, Do we need to register the classes now? or should we wait until the orientation?? Can you please tell me?

You will not be able to register, during orientation day if u have everything completed in COMPLIO they will register you.

I got accepted to accelerated program and I will be taking summer classes for stat and nutrition.

But we have mandatory two meeting and orientation. I am going to miss my classes which is huge portion of classes. I want A no matter what! Do you guys think I need to just drop the classes this time and take that later on? Give me advice please!!

I am not sure but that depends on the titers results. If the result says that you have not immunity, then you need that vaccine. That happen to me today.
