Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

my cum gpa is 3.53 and my science is 3.47

I want this to be over already

Mitchiebono do you think is mandatory the influenza vaccine and the hepatitis. I have everything done but those two. I heard that some people start the program without it.

U can start but you won't be able to go to clinicals

My friend got in with both 3.1 over all and science I think they chose it in random order!

did your friend apply for generic or bridge? i applied only for bridge.

Yes I already did everything has been approve, except for background that is pending! If u don't have the hep b why don't you start with the first dosage

When u create ur profile n pay scan the papers individually to your email save to desktop and hit upload in each category.

Suggestion... go to any school that offers the exam hesi or teas. Practice it. Take it. Once you pass it send your passing scores to other schools. I used fortis to take my hesi cause close to home never planned on going there. Once I passed I sent my passing scores to Broward.
