Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Published

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

I do not see any changes in my degree audit

You get a rejection letter like 3 weeks later, this is my second time but I already know I'm not in so therefor I'm switching majors.

Hi guys I have applied only for the bridge. my cum gpa is 3.56 and my science is 3.47. do you think that I have a chance to get in ??? the wait is hard to manage!!!!

I have a question for everyone who got accepted today. Is there any difference in your degree audit?

nothing different. i don't think anything will change until we accept or deny the seat.

How do you know you're not in already?

How do you know you're not in already?

Because that's how it went down last semester when I applied

That you didn't get in the first day ?

It was a refresher of Anatomy and Physiology, some medical terminology and math.

The really cool part is that we got a presentation by Elsevier, the company that makes the Hesi and the textbooks, the presenter was Sylvester, she pretty much makes almost all the Nclex Rn review books for Elsevier. We got the presentation and a test taking strategy book for free, normally on your own that would ha been onwards of $300!!

Yup that's enough for me to want the boot camp. LoL

I don't think so, until you accept your seat. It makes sense. They are not going to change your major until you accept it.

Ok wait so theres no boot camp for us ? Just the required orientation ? Im already going tomorrow to turn in the paper and pay 100 for my spot

Yure in case we don't we will score 100 on the hesi entrance and we will make it
