Hey guys,
I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.
So far this is what I know:
I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).
I wanted to rent also, but i like to highlight. Also, don't we need some of the books for more than 1 semester? If not, i will resell them to the spring 2016 studentsI want to rent all of the books, but I am not sure if when you rented they give you a code. I think with some books we need codes.
I rented all my text books, many of them already had highlighting in it, so not sure if this is a problem at all. I rented from barnes and noble, chegg and amazon. This semester Amazon has the best prices.
You guys don't want to get a fb page for our class? It would be cool to stay in touch and help each other...
Guys, shed some light if you know. Yesterday I met a lady who failed exit exam at the end of the program, which I think is Hesi? She suggested to buy some software or applications that has a bunch of questions and start studying those right from the beginning. Have they talked about it during Orientation? I also saw here in the Spring 2015 something about HESI.
But I don't understand, is HESI part of the curriculum now?

Yes they have a Hesi after every class if u fail the Hesi u basically fail the class and at the end there will be a final Hesi in everything if u fail u can't graduate.
Almost every class has a Hesi exam for it. Its usually worth 15% of your grade. If you fail the exam you will most likely fail the class.
You dont need any online codes for the main textbooks. The only textbooks i would recommend to buy with access codes are those that come with NCLEX practice questions online ( totally worth it). So go ahead and rent your textbooks, it will save you a lot of money in the long run. For Med Surg do buy the book since you will use it for 2 different semesters.
Note of caution, dont listen to people who say to keep the previous classes textbooks, you will not have enough time to go back to them to reference them during your next semester. Besides the new book you will use , will have all the information you need.

Which books come with NCLEX questions? Is there an app that is worth downloading on your phone and use it when you have spare minutes?
