Hi,
Just starting my application for the 2017 Fall entry- wondering if there is anyone else here who is starting too, or anyone from previous years who would be willing to give us some insight?
Thanks

@BostonFNPHi! So I saw some of your previous posts and was wondering if I could get some insight from you!
I was was just wondering what kind of GPA and stuff would be good for a direct entry program! Anything will be helpful

I'm a biology major with a psych minor. I had pretty bad grades but was able to bring up my GPA to a 3.17 and I plan on finishing my degree with a 3.3
I have a B+ in micro, anatomy 1&2, and a C in stats and am currently taking developmental psych and nutrition! I'm currently retaking stats
what do you think?
Depends on the program, but most good programs will look both at your overall GPA (at 3.3 you should meet the cutoff) and your core curriculum average (you need to bring your stats grade up, most cutoff at B or B+). Once you make the minimum GPA cutoffs, you get put into the pool for personal review which you can make your case as a good applicant.
I also heard from admissions that we should be notified by the end of February or beginning of March. I think the person that had an advisor was in a separate program. Does anyone know how important the GRE score is in their evaluation and/or what percentile range they are looking for. Thanks!
I have yet to hear anything. I'm hoping that we hear something by the end of the week, but that's not based on any concrete info. When I looked at past forums, it looks like acceptances usually go out in mid-February. Although people did hear earlier last year. I hoping to hear something soon. The wait is killing me.
