Hello! No forum for this cycle yet, so I figured I would start one ?
Who else is applying?!
Hey guys,
I applied for the PMHNP track by the Feb 1 deadline and received a letter saying I had been waitlisted on 2/25. It feels exactly like rejection, or maybe worse, when they don’t tell you anything about your chances for coming off the waitlist, or how many people have been pulled from the waitlist in previous years. I’ve been admitted to other programs that start in Summer, but I’m considering turning them down and applying to more fall start programs so that I can continue to remain on the MGH waitlist as long as possible.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else was in the same boat, or if anyone who attends MGH now knows people who were admitted off the waitlist. And finally, I’m also just here to beg those who have been accepted or waitlisted but do not plan to attend because you have better options (and good for you, seriously) to please please tell the school so that the rest of us can have a chance.
Best of luck to everyone, and thanks for reading.

I am in that same boat with BC. It is a frustrating situation for sure. Can't offer you much beyond that, but I hope you get offered a spot! Good luck??
@WMO358 Now that I have decided to attend this program this fall, I was just looking to see if you had any guidance or suggestions on what materials we will need at the start of this program. I am looking to purchase my stethoscope and other materials now, but am not sure what model the program suggests or one that most students tend to buy. If you had any suggestions that would be helpful!

Did anyone apply before the 4/1 deadline and hear back yet? I have no idea when to expect an answer and am obsessively checking my email LOL!

Hey Paige,
Nope haven't heard anything still. I did call last week and the lady told me wait to hear back about decisions at the end of this month/beginning of May.

Hey, I just found out I was waitlisted too! (LOL after being ghosted for a few months) Also, anyone that was accepted when is your deposits due?
@blueberry203 I applied for the original deadline on 12/1, and my deposit was due March 22nd, which was $500. Not sure when others that applied at the later deadlines had to put their deposits down though. I feel that they gave us once we were accepted 3 weeks to decide if we were going to enroll or not.

Hi! I'm a current student in the pediatric track. I graduated with a 3.4 GPA in psychology for undergrad. I don't remember what I got for my science GPA. For my personal statement, I talked about being 2nd generation to immigrant parents and my experience with medical providers when attending appointments with my family. I got letters of recommendations from my manager at the restaurant I worked at, one of the grad students at the psych lab I worked at during undergrad, and my microbio professor. A lot of people in my cohort don't have any experience in the medical field so don't let that be a deterrent for you. Hope that helps ?
