I was just accepted to MGH for fall21. @WM0358, can you please talk more about helpful study tips in patho class? Also for those coming from out of state, how do they go about housing? Is parking available in neighborhoods?
Hi, the patho class is definitely not as intimidating as it seems. The professor is great and gives tons of resources. we had 4 days a week with office hours, exam review sessions done by TAs, group activities in class, and the professor gives a study template for all the diseases to fill out that includes everything you need to know. Most people really enjoy that class and learn a lot. I am from out of state and was not familiar with Boston at all so I used a realtor to find an apartment with another student but there are several websites for Boston housing that I know people used and the school has its own housing website with apartments and you can make a profile and search for other students who are also looking for housing. Pretty much all neighborhoods have street parking with a permit and some have street parking without a permit. Many areas also have off-street parking depending on where you live. You can get a parking pass from the school for class and it also works at the MGH garage for clinical.

Thank you for response. I am happy to hear positive things about patho. I will definitely utilize most of the resources given in class and attend review session. Do you find the program manageable? I am assuming classes and exams are still in person or is it virtual? If virtual, what do you think about virtual learning thus far? Did you pick your own classes or our schedules already done for us? How are clinical?
In regards to parking, where do you get the permit for street parking? Thank you for letting me know about the housing link offered through the school. What advise would you give to someone coming into program?
Fellow cohorts, if anyone looking for a roommate, let me know .

Congratulations to everyone who got in!?
Hello! I was just accepted into the women's health track as well. I knew nothing about Boston until I got accepted... so uughh housing is very expensive. Please let me know if you are looking for a roommate. Congrats on your acceptance.

I'm not sure what the process is for the next round, but I would absolutely email them and ask for clarification on the process!
