MGH ABSN Summer 2013

I just applied for the MGH program starting in May 2013. Is anyone else applying here and/or anywhere else around the Boston area starting next summer?

so that would mean mailed out say,,, Wed/Thur. the 10th, 11th, prob will get letters on 14tish????

I gave them a call today as well. I, too received an email requesting my Fall semester grades, which I emailed to admissions on the 29th. The guy I spoke to in admissions said that they received about 100 emails with grades and attachments and that who ever sent an email will receive an email by Tuesday or Wednesday confirming receipt. He stated that if I don't receive an email by then to give them a call asap. He said decisions will be mailed out by the end of next week. *fingers crossed*

Good luck everyone! My life took an unexpected turn yesterday. I got a call from Curry and a spot opened up in their Accel program. I start classes January 15th. Baptism by fire......!

Has anyone called admissions? I didn't get a confirmation, so I called yesterday. The woman I spoke to told me to email admissions...maybe I called the wrong office? I don't want to overload them with yet another email!

I did not receive a confirmation either. So since there are a few that have not, I would assume that they were not sent. I spoke with admissions today. Letters are going out late this week or very early next week !

I didn't receive a confirmation neither. So I just sent over an email to admissions asking them to confirmed that they received my Fall semester grades. They replied very quickly and confirmed that they did receive my grades.

So letters should be mailed out from MGH by the end of the week!!

Hi everyone,

my name is Diana, I have applied to Summer 2013 program as well. I know that last year the letters were sent out on January 13th. I have been trying to find out some info on the program itself, but I was unsuccessful. I found a lot of info on Curry, UMass, but nothing on MGH. Questions I am interesting in are: How intense is the program? What days are we to come in? What days off? I have a year old, trying to figure out the schedule for hiring a help... I also noticed that when comparing to other schools, no one mentioned the amount of credits per program. For example, Curry has only 43 credits total for the ACCEL bsn, UMass got 68 credits. Simmons, I think, about 56, and MGH 54. I heard great things about schedule at Curry. Only 2-3 days in, the rest is free. 5 weeks off during summer. Many students with kids, even babies. Of course, lots of home work anywhere, but, people, 68 credits vs 43 ??!! I need somebody who is already in MGH tell me more about their work load, commuting, parking, books, exams, any surprises, teachers, how many student graduate from 100 ? Anybody juggling with family responsibilities? Thank you for your help.

Also, Simmons starts their program with biochem, which I don't mind studying, but over a longer period of time. No one else requires biochemistry.
