Hi! For those interested, just this morning I heard from a newly hired staff nurse in Metropolitan Medical Center that the hospital is currently hiring staff nurses. Sadly, I can't apply there for personal reasons.
Do any of you know other hospitals there in Manila or QC that are also currently hiring staff nurses without undergoing months of volunteer training prior to employment? Kindly inform me please.
By the way, my informant said the give preference to chinese applicants.
Uhm does anyone know if mmc is now open for new orientees/trainees?? i think this year they only have 1 batch of trainees compared to last year where they open more than 4 batches of orientees/trainees..
From what i know, mmc is more on backer system, sad but true.. but i know of some who where just so patient in updating and passing resume who where trainees last year and now a staff..
MMC's way in handling trainees is good..trainees will be orientees for 1 month, then if they'll pass the eval, they'll then be probationary for 6 months and it is with pay (min.wage).. then if they'll pass again the eval they'll then be staff rn.. and whats good is that they passed most of the trainee.
GODBLESS US! :)
@ regnurse - are all the staff nurses need to undergo training before being an orientee? for how many months? thanks!
Orentee is the term they called to those who needs to undergoe the training..the after being an orinetee for a month, theyll have an evaluation, if you passed the eval, you'll then be promoted as an PROBI NURSE for 6 months, then they'll evaluate you again, and if you'll passed it, you'll then be promoted ass staff rn..
As what i have heard they'll be starting the next batch this coming week.. :)
Sad but MMC didnt call me..

I've had my exam there last Nov.2010 and sadly, I have not received any calls or messages from them. Maybe they think I'm not good/pretty enough. Sad
