Metropolitan Medical Center currently hiring staff nurses

Hi! For those interested, just this morning I heard from a newly hired staff nurse in Metropolitan Medical Center that the hospital is currently hiring staff nurses. Sadly, I can't apply there for personal reasons.

Do any of you know other hospitals there in Manila or QC that are also currently hiring staff nurses without undergoing months of volunteer training prior to employment? Kindly inform me please. :nurse:

By the way, my informant said the give preference to chinese applicants.

i passed my requirements in the HR last august and i haven't got any call or txt from them.. A friend of mine is a staff nurse there but i didn't heard any exams given to them. Actually aside from "chinese" thing, you must have "backer" such as doctor or supervisors. If your a girl make sure your pretty enough to be notice! trust me, BOARD RATING DOESN'T MATTER. all you need is good looks and a "backer".

hi guys, I am planning to pass my requirements this month of February. Would you mind to teach me on how to go there coming from Novaliches or SM Fairview? Thank you.. =)

do they accept applicants without experience.. even training or volunteer experirence?

Unfortunately, they still have the "backer system" and they usually look for applicants with pleasing personality (esp. for females). For males, they are not accepting applicants. However, if you have Chinese blood with good looks, they might consider you. Did you notice their staff in Marine Services Department? some of them are RN but they were hired in HR because they really look good. They accept all the applications and will tell you to wait for 1-2 months for processing. If you were not called, then you may pass your application again in MSD.

Hi guys! My brother and I applied at metropolitan last july 2010... I applied for a nursing staff post while my brother for an attendant post... instantly we took their initial exam.. after 2 months my brother got a call from metro to attend an orientation.. but sadly, i havent received any call from them... my brother made ff ups to the HRD.. the lady there told my brother that my marital status was the problem of my application.. im married... though i pass their exam... and yes, PERSONALITY is an advantage aside from "chinese" thing... (*sigh*)

hi guyz. i hate to say this but the hospital we are talking about is my alma matter and most of us graduated in that hospital are not absorb..they only see your physical apperance if your not pretty and tall your not accepted.......

PERSONALITY, i guess, is their main qualification not the License.... Its so discriminating... :(

can someone shed some light to my situation? I passed my resume again...and I took the initial exam, their staff said that I had to wait for a call since there will be a training by the end of February....I am getting my hopes up....so is there I chance I could get hired here?

was that really the case? what if a single mom? do have it mean that you have a lesser chance of being hired.

hi i Took an exam last January.. initial exam taken and then.. they said wait for a call for next batch of training nurse.. And now still waiting.. my cousin said that they are now freeze hiring for now because of lack of patient are admit.

hi abby, when did you pass your requirements before you had the exam? Would you mind to pm me on how to go there.. please.. thank you! =)

Hi guys! I just came from Metropolitan. All they took from me were my Resume, TOR and Board rating. Right after, they gave me the exam and I was interviewed by a doctor. They said they don't have any openings for staff nurse as of now but they have an opening at the marine services department, like the receptionist and clerical work. They even offered me to start immediately, like tomorrow already. They also told me that from marine services, I can transfer to the hospital. Do you know anyone who was able to do that? I'm really considering it but I'd prefer a hospital experience.
