Hello all! I just landed a position as a new grad RN on an ICU floor at Methodist. I was hoping that I could get some information from RNs who have participated in this program. I have a few questions and would like to know how your schedule was during the residency. I do not start till 7/13/15 so would also love info on books to read to help with the transition to an ICU position.Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I will keep you updated. I'm not too sure about receiving an e-mail though. He said to look out for a phone call. I'm sure it won't be until Friday though,I believe that is what they said.. To expect phone calls at the end of the week. I'm still on cloud9! I took and passed boards on Monday and 4 days later I got my dream job.. I feel like I am truly blessed.. I say that now though, watch I'll end up hating it. Lol

Hi! I also want to know about the RN Residency at Methodist. Can you guys share your experiences? What should we expect for the meet and greet and the whole interview process? I hope you could give me some helpful and reliable tips to be able to be considered for any position. Thanks!!! :)
Hi all!
I know this might be a little late to be posting on here, but I'll just go for it. So I just accepted an offer with Methodist Children's Labor and Delivery for the Residency program starting on Feb 8 and am also coming from CA (woot woot! - Kaligirl02 and e9952).
Currently looking for apartments and/or roomie living situations. Any tips on good apartments? Or if anyone is interested in rooming temporarily until we can get on our feet in SA please let me know :)

I would look for places in med center. What is your price range? My apartment is 645/month.. 1b/1b it's about 5 minutes from main Methodist... Oh wait.. You are working downtown, right? I'm not very knowledgeable with the area downtown, I just know that it is very pretty neat the Pearl area and very expensive..
