Does anybody know anything about this medication? My doctor has me on it and I have lost 10 pounds, but my blood pressure has been sky high. 177-108. Could it be from this? I really want to stay on this medication cause it helps my cravings. :clown:

hello, saboothecat,:nurse:

i realize this is most important to you, but, you really need to see your health care provider regarding your blood pressure. as you know, we at allnurses.com cannot give out medical advice.

please call your healthcare provider today.

I went to my doctor, but she didnt say anything about the Meridia. She changed my medicine to Micarditis with HCTZ and Toprol XL. Doesnt seem to be helping very much and I thought maybe it could be coming from the Meridia. Thanks for info

have you spoken to your pharmacist? they can fully advise you about medication side effects and interactions with other meds you are taking. many people skip asking about new meds their taking, and by doing so your not getting all that you paid for!

pharmacists are the persons to consult with if med questions remain after discussing with your doctor/pcp.

google drug name will come up with manufacturer info too:

meridia - ways to lose weight, weight loss programs and weight reduction.

Whenever I want to know about drugs, drug interactions and the like, I ask a pharmacist, as Karen suggested. The knowledge these folks have is vast and they can help you with almost ANYTHING in the regard of medications/vitamins and supplements. Good luck to you. I hope you get what you need.
